Secaucus, NJ: University Books, 1974. Item #11865
A FINE CLOTH COPY, quarter bound in cloth and boards with gilt titles. Nicely appointed. 254 pages with index. Forty full page plates. Small folio. One review from 1812 offers the following: "One of the most unbecoming and indecent treatises which ever disgraced the pen of a man who would be considered as a scholar and philosopher." Such was the criticism of the day that Knight went about trying to purchase all of the first edition, something seen in kind by the Souths and Higgins' brother.
