Amsterdam: R. und G. Weitstein, 1718. Marbled end papers; A VERY GOOD or better copy. The volume is cased in a clean, tight, true vellum. Binding has a blind stamped pattern on the panels and backstrip. The title is hand written in a clear hand: JACK BOHMES SCHRIFTEN. A full-page engraving as the frontispiece (recto), and is composed of three circles (showing the three worlds of Jesus, Man and chaos) within a larger circle upon which is printed: "Gott Ausser Natur, und Creatur. Undgard Eiwige Freyheit." These circles are crested by a winged Eye within a six-pointed Star with angelic figures to either side. At the bottom of the plate there is a sword on the left and a scourge on the right. It cites three Biblical references: Nahum 1.2; Deuteronomy 30.19; and Hebrews 12.5. The text shows an occasional touch of foxing, but is very good without the normal tears and stains associated, Page one has a striking head piece and the text is constituted of 1812 numbered columns (though the first ten pages are full pagination). Additional registers and errata are appended. Text in German. Buddecke I, 49. Item #12250
