KONX OM PAX: Essays in Light.
London and Felling-on-Tyne: Walter Scott Publishing Co., 1907. FIRST EDITION, Third Issue. Although the limitation notice in this issue states 500 copies printed, the number of copies issued in this variant may be 400 or less; this copy unnumbered. Bound in full white buckram with impressed front panel in gilt; printed on Dickinson hand-made paper which has been left deckled; top edge gilt; bottom edge of rear panel shows an old stain, which a previous owner has noted as "burned" on the front free end paper in pencil. However, my examination leans toward a varnish mishap, causing a brown stain a half inch or so into the rear gutter beginning at Mr. Crowley's catalogue with some darkening on the rear cloth panel; internally very crisp and free of any marking; the stunning gilt stamped front panel is wholly intact ; A VERY GOOD+ or better copy. Frontispiece photogravure portrait of Crowley by Aimee Dupont is under the original tissure. [xix] 108 pages plus two page catalog of Crowley's works and an additional 10 pages of reviews for J.F.C. Fuller's "The Star in the West". Square octavo. Yorke 56. (Item ID: 14847)
