Original mock Vellum binding shows soiling; front and rear hinges repaired and strengthened; internals bright and free of marking; GOOD. With an introductory notice, and descriptions by J.W. Appell. The artist, or designer, of the woodcuts is unknown, but they have been attributed to Giovanni Bellini, Andrea Mantegna, Carpaccio, Jacopo de' Barbari, the Master of the Dolphin; the author, Francesco Colonna, and several others.
