Issued to the Australian Branch of the Theosophical Society at Sydney, 1921. Photocopy of the broadside of the notorious letter condemning Leadbeater for immoral practices, and calling on Besant to refute his teachings. A very controversial piece of early Theosophical literature, and quite candid in its portrayal of Leadbeater's methods of development. Of course, it pales in our time as being in itself particularly brazen, but definitely this was a blot in Theosophical history. It is said that the Sydney Lodge copied the written letter, and passed it to select parties, using this broadsheet to make the allegations public. Folded sheet. (Item ID: 16311)
