TOUCH ME NOT! A Most Rare Compendium and Grimoire of the Whole Magical Art.
London: Fulgur Esoterica, 2017. Limited Edition. Top corners slightly bruised; else, a Fine Premium Cloth Copy. Color facsimile of the original mss., including the full color plates, which are surprisingly edgy even for contemporary times. A compendium and grimoire of the black magical arts, completed circa 1795, and now published for the first time. The translators, Tilton and Cox, have supplied copious notes and references, finally bringing the hidden lore of this famous grimoire to light. In Hereward Tilton's introduction, he notes that the manuscript appears at first sight to be "a grimoire, or magician's manual, intended for novitiates of black magic." The grimoires cites the use of certain drugs, animal sacrifice, sigillary body art, and sexual fantasy, among other transgressive practices it depicts. With their use, the hidden treasures are wrested from the guardian spirits. 160 pages. 4to. (Item ID: 16818)
