Custom end papers; bound in black simulated leather with silvered devices to front and rear panels, the latter being the Seal of Sabatraxas; touch of browning along fore edge, and the only reason for it not to be rated higher; VERY GOOD+ COPY of Chumbley's classic work that uncovers the ancient ritual of procuring the Toad Bone, a talisman essential for a special working. Original envelope laid in rear with original author drawn talisman [silver on dark blue] and placed in folded Crimson broadside, signed with illustrations, and also includes the Black Thorn and Toad Skin Talisman, hand painted, in a smaller envelope, also labeled by Chumbley. Front free end paper is illustrated by hand by the author in this copy. "This unique grimoire was published in the year 2000, marking the cusp of the old and the new chiliad. It is the first full grimoire-text to treat specifically and from personal account of the Traditional East Anglian ritual called 'The Waters of the Moon': the solitary initiation of the so-called 'Toad-witch'. The textualisation of this magical process was, in this unique instance, undertaken as an extension of the ritual itself - a perfection of its cycle of arcana to a point of individual crystallisation." -- Xoanon 60 pages. Small 4to. (Item ID: 17021)
