LIMITED TO ELEVEN COPIES ONLY, each of which is accompanied by an original autograph letter, signed, from Crowley to the 'artist executant' of the book, Lady Frieda Harris. Half leather, over paper boards with Egyptian motif identical to the 1944 edition. Special bookplate mounted on the front pastedown, stating the eleven copy limitation and provenance. A four-page booklet by Keith Richmond, printed on the same paper as the book itself, outlining the history of the volume is laid in. This copy has an original handwritten letter, signed by Crowley, and written on both sides of a sheet of notepaper, usually about 8" x 5". The addressee is the artist, Lady Frieda Harris. Of course, the letter begins and ends with Thelmic greetings (usually written in full, but sometimes in cipher: 93 93/93) and are signed simply 'Aleister.' Fine condition. xii + 288 + [iv] pages. Small quarto. Strangely, since our beginning in 1971, Holmes has acquired and sold during those 49 years, Eleven Thoth First Editions of which there were 200 issued. (Item ID: 17757)
