This print from the fifteenth century Necronomicon has been stylishly framed, and set behind archival glass, and is ready for hanging. “Dagon qui opes mare effert” is a faithful reproduction of the original German printing which depicts Dagon as a crowned tyrant slaughtering a whale much smaller than himself. This limited edition print was conceived, carved, and printed by Liv Rainey-Smith, using a host of small sharp gouges, a 9 x 12 inch woodblock, 11 x 14 inch cream Rives BFK paper, oil-based ink, and an etching press.
