Lengthy letter from Dr. Head to JD Holmes, regarding the publication of an anthology on Gurdjieff for diverse sources, and to be titled on publication. "Images of Gurdjieff". This project had been discussed numerous time in phone conversations, but this was the first physical material to be submitted, and was accompanied by a letter dated 17.ix,1995, which begins, "You have herewith the source material for "Image of Gurdjieff". I'm sorry it's a bit late in coming to you, but I had to make an unforeseen -- and, as it turns out, a rather urgent trip", followed by a personal disclosure. The material is enclosed in a large binder with plastic covers, letter size, and approximately three inches thick, about 350-400 pages, one sided, in photocopy. Dr. Head's title page reads: "Gurdjieff" An Anthology of Essays and Articles, 1917-1985", followed by a List of Contents, that begins: "Introducing Mr. Gurdjieff." Nest four pages with a hand-written message, Items under consideration, No. items included herein. Obviously, this specialized collection requires someone devoted to G and the 4th Way, or someone equally interested in the progress of religious, philosophical, and esoteric movements in the 20th century.
